Safety and hemostatic effect of Achillea millefolium L. in localized bleeding

Abstract
A hydroalcoholic extract of Achillea millefolium showed a haemostatic effect in localized bleeding and was safe on topical application in rats, supporting the styptic/haemostatic use of yarrow.
