Trypanocidal terpenoids from Laurus nobilis L.
Preclinical
Abstract
Activity-guided fractionation of Laurus nobilis leaves yielded the sesquiterpene lactones dehydrocostus lactone and zaluzanin D and a new p-menthane hydroperoxide with trypanocidal activity against Trypanosoma cruzi, identifying antimicrobial/antiparasitic constituents of bay laurel.
