Abstract

This study isolated five flavonoid-biosynthesis genes from Scutellaria lateriflora and showed that baicalin, baicalein and wogonin accumulate differentially across organs and are enhanced by methyl jasmonate, characterising the biosynthesis of the plant's active flavonoids.
