Abstract
Selenium-enriched polysaccharides from shiitake (Lentinula edodes) showed selective immunosuppressive activity on human T lymphocytes and protected cells from oxidative stress, indicating immunomodulatory and cytoprotective bioactivity enhanced by selenium.
