Abstract

Lentinan from shiitake (Lentinus edodes) suppressed hepatic cytochrome P450 1A expression in mice via TNF-alpha and NF-kappaB, a mechanism relevant to the chemopreventive (anticancer) potential of the mushroom beta-glucan.
