Abstract
4-Hydroxyisoleucine, a characteristic amino acid of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seeds, improves insulin secretion and insulin sensitivity, explaining part of the antidiabetic effect of fenugreek in obesity-associated insulin resistance.
