Screening of medicinal and aromatic plants extracts for the synergism with fluconazole against Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis fungi associated with denture stomatitis
Abstract
A screening of 166 aqueous-ethanolic plant extracts for antifungal and fluconazole-potentiating activity against azole-resistant Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis associated with denture stomatitis found significant direct antifungal activity for the roots of Scrophularia nodosa and the herb of Betonica officinalis, among other species.
