Haemostatic / styptic - reduces heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia); also used for nosebleeds and postpartum bleeding. In a randomized clinical trial, Capsella bursa-pastoris added to mefenamic acid reduced menstrual blood loss significantly more than mefenamic acid alone
