Abstract

Rosehip (Rosa canina) tea was separated into vitamin C, flavonoid and phenolic-acid fractions. Rosehip flavonoids showed high antioxidant activity against DPPH radicals and inhibited growth of HeLa, MCF7 and HT-29 cancer cells, confirming that vitamin C and flavonoids drive antioxidant activity while polyphenols contribute antiproliferative activity.
