Abstract

Ellagitannin- and procyanidin-rich tormentil (Potentilla erecta) extract was assessed in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats and mice. It inhibited platelet activity and improved endothelial function and arterial blood flow, illustrating multidirectional effects of tormentil on haemostasis in diabetes.
