Response of plantain (Plantago lanceolata L.) supplementation on nutritional, endo-parasitic, and endocrine status in lambs
Abstract
Dietary supplementation with plantain (Plantago lanceolata) improved growth and feed conversion in lambs, suppressed cholesterol, improved liver enzyme activity and was highly effective at suppressing gastrointestinal parasites (Paramphistomum and coccidia), demonstrating the anthelmintic and metabolic effects of ribwort plantain.
