A new flavonoid, a new phenylethanoid glycoside and related compounds isolated from the inflorescences of Plantago lanceolata L.
Abstract
For the first time, the inflorescences of Plantago lanceolata (ribwort plantain) were studied for phenolic compounds, yielding two new compounds (a flavonoid and a phenylethanoid glycoside) along with fourteen known flavonoids and phenylethanoid glycosides, characterising constituents of medicinal and chemotaxonomic relevance.
