Phytochemical profiling of antimicrobial and potential antioxidant plant: Nepeta cataria

Abstract
Nepeta cataria extracts (methanol, ethanol, water, acetone, hexane) were profiled by GC/MS, revealing 247 identified metabolites. The extracts showed inhibitory activity against a set of microbes and antioxidant potential (DPPH, ORAC), confirming the antimicrobial and antioxidant properties of catnip.
