Insight into biological activities of chemically characterized extract from Marrubium vulgare L. in vitro, in vivo and in silico approaches
Abstract
Aqueous extracts of Marrubium vulgare were characterised phytochemically (rich in catechin and maleic acid) and evaluated for biological activities. The extract showed significant antioxidant capacity, antimitotic potential, antimicrobial properties and a potent antihyperglycemic effect with modulation of pancreatic alpha-amylase, supporting its traditional medicinal uses.
