Antitubercular activity of Arctium lappa and Tussilago farfara extracts and constituents
Preclinical
Abstract
Arctium lappa and Tussilago farfara are traditionally used as antitubercular remedies. Extracts and isolated constituents were screened against Mycobacterium tuberculosis; several fractions and compounds from coltsfoot showed antitubercular activity, supporting the traditional antimicrobial use of the plant.
