Novel Quinic Acid Glycerates from Tussilago farfara Inhibit Polypeptide GalNAc-Transferase
Preclinical
Abstract
Novel quinic acid glycerates were isolated from Tussilago farfara and identified as inhibitors of human polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferases (GalNAc-Ts), the initiating enzymes of mucin-type O-glycosylation, adding new bioactive constituents to the known chemistry of coltsfoot.
