Abstract
Herbal drugs may alter the pharmacokinetics of co-administered drugs. This study examined the effect of Rumex acetosa extract on the intestinal absorption of fexofenadine, showing the extract modulated transporter-mediated absorption - an important herb-drug interaction consideration for sorrel preparations.
