Two new taraxerane-type triterpenes from Ledum palustre L.
Preclinical
Abstract
Two new taraxerane-type triterpenes were isolated from Ledum palustre (Rhododendron tomentosum) and their structures confirmed by IR, HR-ESI-TOFMS and NMR. The compounds were evaluated for cell-growth-inhibitory (cytotoxic) activity against two cancer cell lines, adding to the known triterpenoid chemistry of the plant.
