Confusing boundaries of the Labrador tea species: dispersal history explains the lack of clear species structure
Abstract
The Labrador teas (genus Rhododendron, subsection Ledum) form a circumboreal species complex with no clear species boundaries. Using chloroplast and nuclear markers across 65 populations, this study reconstructed the phylogeny and dispersal history of subsect. Ledum, clarifying the taxonomy and biogeography of Rhododendron tomentosum and its relatives.
