Preclinical

Abstract

Modified dry extracts of motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) were studied for chemical composition and psychotropic activity. The extracts, enriched in phenolics and amino acids, showed sedative and anxiolytic activity in animal models, supporting the development of motherwort-based medicines with psychotropic (calming) activity.
