Herbal Products Used in Menopause and for Gynecological Disorders
Abstract
A review of plants and derived products commonly used for menopausal symptoms and gynecological disorders, focusing on clinical data and safety. Black cohosh and red clover consistently reduced menopausal symptoms in clinical studies, while currently available data do not fully support the use of hops (Humulus lupulus), fenugreek, valerian and soybean for this indication, providing a balanced view of hops' estrogenic/menopausal use.
