Abstract

Ganoderma lucidum (reishi) polysaccharide (GLP) significantly inhibited tumor growth and activated antitumor immunity in colorectal cancer: it increased cytotoxic CD8 T cells and Th1 helper cells while decreasing immunosuppressive Tregs, alleviated gut microbiota dysbiosis, increased short-chain fatty acid production, and enhanced the efficacy of anti-PD-1 immunotherapy, supporting reishi as an immunomodulatory prebiotic.
