Antiangiogenic, Anti-Inflammatory and Antioxidant Properties of Bidens tripartita Herb, Galium verum Herb and Rumex hydrolapathum Root
Abstract
Ethanolic extracts of three plants including Galium verum herb (a cleavers congener) were tested on endothelial cells. The Galium verum extract showed anti-inflammatory activity (reducing pro-inflammatory IL-8 and IL-6) and antioxidant activity (DPPH, FRAP) related to its polyphenol content, with effects on angiogenesis-related factors, indicating potential in disorders linked to inflammation and free-radical formation.
