Four organosulfur compounds from the seeds of Capsella bursa-pastoris and their anti-inflammatory activities
Abstract
Phytochemical investigation of the seeds of Capsella bursa-pastoris led to the isolation of four organosulfur compounds, including two new methylsulfinyl amides. Evaluated in LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells, the compounds exhibited anti-inflammatory activity, decreasing nitric oxide release and the mRNA expression of inducible NO synthase (iNOS), COX-2 and IL-6.
