Traditional / reference

Abstract

University natural-history inventory account of turkey tail: there are 2 to 5 tubes (pores) per millimetre on the underside of a turkey tail fungus, and these pores are an excellent way to tell Trametes versicolor apart from Stereum ostrea, the false turkey tail. Anchors the pore-count underside test that distinguishes true turkey tail from the smooth-undersided false turkey tail.
