Traditional / reference
Abstract
Identification guide contrasting angel wing with oyster mushrooms: angel wings grow on conifer trees while most oysters grow on hardwoods; angel-wing flesh is very thin while oysters are denser and meatier; and in 2004 the Japan outbreak killed 17 of 59, nearly all with compromised kidney function. Anchors the conifer-vs-hardwood substrate test.
