Galerina marginata - Mushrooms Up! Edible and Poisonous Species of Coastal BC and the Pacific Northwest
Abstract
University of British Columbia mycological reference for deadly Galerina (Galerina marginata): it could be confused with Psilocybe species; its spore print is rusty brown; it has a small ring on the stem and grows on rotting wood and wood chips; and it contains heat-stable amatoxins not destroyed by cooking. Anchors the rusty-brown spore print as the distinguishing test.
