Abstract
This review covers over 40 years of clinical use of Ganoderma lucidum (lingzhi) polysaccharide in China for neurosis, myopathy and as adjunct cancer-chemotherapy support, summarising its antioxidant, antitumour, immunomodulatory and hypoglycemic mechanisms.
