Bioactivity of secoiridoid glycosides from Centaurium erythraea

Abstract
Two secoiridoid glycosides, swertiamarin and sweroside, were isolated from the aerial parts of Centaurium erythraea and their bioactivity assessed, characterising the bitter secoiridoid constituents of common centaury.
