Abstract
This review of Capsella bursa-pastoris (shepherd's purse), a plant recently introduced to European Pharmacopoeia, summarises its flavonoids and phenolic acids and its digestive-supporting and antihaemorrhagic properties confirmed by modern anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial research.
