Borago officinalis seed oil (BSO), a natural source of omega-6 fatty acids, attenuates fat accumulation by activating peroxisomal beta-oxidation both in C. elegans and in diet-induced obese rats
Abstract
Borago officinalis seed oil, rich in omega-6 fatty acids (gamma-linolenic acid), attenuated fat accumulation by activating peroxisomal beta-oxidation in C. elegans and diet-induced obese rats, documenting a metabolic effect of borage seed oil.
