Galium aparine L. protects against acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity in rats

Abstract
In rats, Galium aparine extract (traditionally used for jaundice) markedly reduced acetaminophen-induced liver necrosis and lowered ALT, AST and bilirubin while showing an anxiolytic effect, demonstrating hepatoprotective activity of cleavers.
