Abstract
This review of the standardised Crataegus (hawthorn) leaf-and-flower special extract WS 1442, rich in oligomeric procyanidins, summarises its cardioprotective, free-radical-scavenging, vasorelaxant (eNOS) and anti-ischaemic effects demonstrated in in-vitro, in-vivo and large clinical studies.
