Abstract
This review of the genus Crataegus (hawthorn, incl. C. monogyna) details its flavonoids (hyperoside, vitexin) and anthocyanins with documented pharmacological activity, and its traditional use for hypertension, angina, arrhythmia and congestive heart failure.
