Abstract
In dexamethasone-treated rats modelling metabolic syndrome and type-2 diabetes, goutweed (Aegopodium podagraria) aerial-part tincture combined with low-dose metformin enhanced its glucose-lowering effect and improved triglycerides and HDL cholesterol, supporting the traditional metabolic use of the herb.
