Antibacterial and Antimycotic Activity of Epilobium L. Extracts: A Review

Abstract
This review of 23 studies on the antibacterial and antifungal properties of Epilobium (willowherb, incl. E. angustifolium) extracts found activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi, varying with species, plant organ and extraction solvent, supporting the antimicrobial use of the genus.
