Epilobium angustifolium L. extract with high content in oenothein B on benign prostatic hyperplasia: A monocentric, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial
Abstract
In a monocentric, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, six months of a chemically characterized Epilobium angustifolium extract (500 mg/day, high in oenothein B) significantly improved lower-urinary-tract symptoms in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia, providing human clinical support for the herb's traditional prostatic use.
