This review of fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) summarises its chemical composition and antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, hepatoprotective and bronchodilatory activities, and its efficacy in infantile colic, dysmenorrhea, polycystic ovary syndrome and milk production.
