Abstract
An ethanol extract of artichoke (Cynara scolymus) leaves protected the kidney against high-fat-diet-induced injury in rats by decreasing organ weights, kidney markers and oxidative-stress biomarkers, demonstrating a renoprotective antioxidant effect.
