Abstract

This systematic review and meta-analysis of 25 studies found Vitex agnus-castus effective in relieving cyclic mastalgia breast-pain intensity and lowering elevated serum prolactin (via dopaminergic activity), with a moderate effect size favouring it over placebo and non-inferiority to pharmaceutical comparators.
