Abstract
An anticoagulant glycopeptide isolated from the ammonia extract of Pulmonaria officinalis reduced blood coagulation activity in animals (acting mainly at the fibrinogen-conversion stage) and lowered mortality from exogenous thromboplastinemia, demonstrating a preclinical anticoagulant action of lungwort.
