Antioxidant activity, acetylcholinesterase and tyrosinase inhibitory potential of Pulmonaria officinalis and Centaurium umbellatum extracts
Abstract
Aqueous and ethanolic extracts of Pulmonaria officinalis and Centaurium umbellatum, rich in polyphenols, flavones and proanthocyanidins, showed high antioxidant activity and acetylcholinesterase and tyrosinase inhibitory potential, suggesting benefit in neurodegenerative disorders and as natural antioxidants.
