Abstract

A 70% ethanolic extract of lungwort (Pulmonaria officinalis L.), rich in polyphenols and phytol, showed notable antioxidant capacity and a hormetic dose-dependent effect, protecting normal fibroblasts against oxidative DNA damage at non-genotoxic concentrations.
