A randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study of the standardised extract SHR-5 of the roots of Rhodiola rosea in the treatment of subjects with stress-related fatigue
Abstract
In a phase III randomised double-blind placebo-controlled trial in 60 subjects with stress-related fatigue, the standardised Rhodiola rosea root extract SHR-5 (576 mg/day for 28 days) exerted an anti-fatigue effect, increased mental performance and concentration, and decreased the cortisol response to awakening stress.
