Abstract

Serum from men after oral intake of Pygeum africanum (Prunus africana) inhibited the proliferation of cultured prostatic myofibroblasts and altered gene expression (upregulating tumour-suppressor and downregulating inflammation/oxidative-stress pathways), confirming a bioavailable prostate-active effect.
