Abstract

gamma-Linolenic-acid-rich evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis) increased hepatic fatty-acid oxidation, reduced lipogenesis and serum/liver triglycerides and lowered serum glucose in obese diabetic mice, ameliorating obesity- and diabetes-related metabolic disorders.
