Abstract

Evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis) enriched with gamma-linolenic acid and tocopherol attenuated carbon-tetrachloride-induced hepatic injury in rats by reducing oxidative stress and down-regulating TNF-alpha, IL-1beta and IL-6, demonstrating an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant effect.
