Abstract

Field horsetail (Equisetum arvense) extract, rich in phenolics and flavonoids, activated SIRT1 and improved insulin sensitivity and cardioprotective markers in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats, indicating an antioxidant, antidiabetic effect.
