Abstract

The nutlets of small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata) and large-leaved lime were found to be a rich source of bioactive compounds, including phytosterols (beta-sitosterol), squalene, tocopherols and tocotrienols (vitamin E), characterising the lipophilic constituents of linden seed oil.
