The influence of procyanidins isolated from small-leaved lime flowers (Tilia cordata Mill.) on human neutrophils
Preclinical
Abstract
Procyanidins isolated from small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata) flowers reduced reactive-oxygen-species and pro-inflammatory cytokine (IL-8, MIP-1beta) release from human neutrophils, partially supporting the traditional use of lime-flower infusions for inflammation and mucosal irritation in the common cold.
